115 POUND TARPON LANDED BY LAKE PLACID, NY MAN IN THE GULF OF MEXICO On
May 22nd, Robert Grant, Sr. fought and successfully landed a huge Tarpon weighing
115 pounds and measuring 6 feet in length. The fish was caught off the coast
of Anna Maria Island in the Gulf Of Mexico and took over one hour to land. At
82 years old, Bob Grant is one of the oldest anglers to have successfully landed
a Tarpon of this size according to local fishing guide Matt Ercoli. The entire
battle was filmed and photographed for web
broadcast on the www.FloridaFishingChannel.com .The huge Tarpon was safely
released unharmed into the Gulf Of Mexico.
